Justus Klann is an interdisciplinary designer and educator based in Düsseldorf, whose practice explores the intersections of craft, design and technologies. Since establishing his freelance studio in 2021, he has developed a series of self-initiated tools and systems that reimagine conventional objects through computational and hands-on workflows. His Bachelor's thesis project, "Space Agency," reframed Earth as a self‑contained spacecraft to investigate speculative design's role in shaping cultural narratives. Alongside his studio practice, Klann serves as Tutor for 3D printing at the Peter Behrens School of Arts (HSD), teaching workshops in additive manufacturing and digital prototyping. He is also a Dozent at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Essen, where he leads courses in Generative Design within the Digital Fabrication Design programme.
